About the Hometown Hero Project

he Hometown Heroes Project is an initiative dedicated to honoring the brave men and women from Overton County who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. These courageous individuals gave everything to protect the freedoms we cherish, and it is our mission to ensure their memory lives on within our community. As part of this project, we will create and display two-sided banners featuring the names and faces of these fallen heroes, proudly hung on the lamp posts around our downtown square during Veterans Day and Memorial Day.

These banners serve not only as a powerful reminder of the sacrifice made by our local heroes but also as a symbol of the deep gratitude we hold for them. By contributing to this cause, you are helping to ensure their legacy endures and that future generations understand the price of freedom. We invite the community to join us in this effort by making a donation. Every dollar raised will go directly toward the creation and display of these memorial banners, and with your support, we can keep the memory of Overton County’s fallen alive for years to come.
